Personal Banker

Our client, a community bank, is seeking a customer-focused Personal Banker to deliver high-quality service while building strong, lasting relationships with customers and colleagues. This role is responsible for performing a wide range of customer service and account management functions while supporting the bank’s sales and service objectives.
The Personal Banker serves as a trusted point of contact for customers, helping them manage their financial needs, resolve issues, and understand available banking products. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
The position offers a competitive salary of up to $70,000, incentive potential, and an excellent benefits package. This is an on-site position and is not remote.
Key Responsibilities
The Personal Banker manages customer accounts, including opening, closing, and maintaining accounts and overseeing related transactions. The role resolves customer issues related to banking services and account activity in a timely and professional manner.
This position responds to incoming customer calls and addresses basic inquiries related to deposit accounts and consumer loan products. The Personal Banker performs account maintenance for customers who wish to modify or update their banking products and services.
The role follows the bank’s operating procedures and complies with all internal policies and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include processing assigned reporting tasks and supporting operational functions as directed by management.
The Personal Banker escalates complex or unresolved issues to a supervisor when appropriate to ensure timely resolution and a positive customer experience.

Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent and has at least two years of experience in customer service or a comparable role. Prior experience within a financial institution is preferred.
Experience with loan sales, loan application processing, and loan closings is desirable. Candidates should be familiar with reviewing and explaining credit bureau reports, working with customers to satisfy loan conditions, scheduling closings, and processing loan documentation. Experience selling ancillary insurance products is also beneficial.
The successful candidate demonstrates the ability to build positive internal and external relationships and establishes credibility through integrity, dedication, and sound judgment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and concisely.
